Today, "crew" from MMORPG.COM talked with creators of the most popular mmorpg that will come in next year - GW2 - about PvP.
PvP is very important part of every game. More then 50% of playerbase of each game is playing that game only because of PvP - cause it is funny, attractive, interesting, and "for smart guys and girls".
One of the 1st ideas is WvW - World versus World - and that would be just HUGE! What does that mean exactly? Well, GW2 is probably going to have many world(servers), so, guess - there will be ServerVSServer battles, from which you can get experience(in both ways), bonus items, rewards, etc.
Also, there should be some.. "sophisticated" PvP - like 4v4 battles, 2v2, some tournaments in those, or so. These types are good because people will be able to learn which skills are really important for PvP + the better ones will improve, and, yes, there will be those(PvP types), but, we are still not sure in what to believe - cause ArenaNet guys are so mysterious!
